Back in 2023 I was signed off work, as part of that package I was prescribed propranolol, used to help me control the effects I was getting from anxiety which was then, in turn making my anxiety worse.
Throughout 2024 I had worked hard and managed to get most of my anxiety under control, as we progressed through the winter of 2024 things progressively started slipping, not in bad way just I was anxious and getting symptoms of anxiety out of the blue, for no reason at all.
Today I made the decision to start taking propranolol again, it is small in its dosage and I only need to take it when I need but it helps.
I guess the reason for this post is to say, taking medication whatever that might be isn’t shameful, for some it may seem like a weakness, giving in and not being able to control but for me it is just another tool in my toolbox.
