So, day one of Elvanse is coming to an end, I thought I would write this before it wears off totally and I can’t do squat. Do I feel any different? I think I do but it is hard to quantify what it is I should be feeling if that makes sense, there isn’t something on the bottle that says “you should feel..” but I definitely felt more collected today and got a boat tonne of work done.
The first 2 hours, did however feel strange, have you ever had glasses and your prescription is slightly off, it felt like that but it passed by about 10am. I was however what can only be described as wired, my brain was in this tunnel of focus that is the only way I can describe it I got loads done and lots of stuff at the same time, distraction is still a problem but hey, this is day one, nobody said this stuff was a miracle drug.
As the day went on I could feel it slowly beginning to wear off, I started to get tired and that early buzz that I had disappeared as I sit here writing this, I have just edited a video and am noticeably ready for a sleep, I sat at the tea table after work and had a conversation about my day, not something I do very often, not entirely sure why, maybe it is because after the day I just feel a bit overwhelmed but tonight I didn’t – I sat down and chatted, it felt nice.
The one thing I did notice which is super annoying is this cotton mouth feeling and being SUPER thirsty, I will definitely be taking a vessel with me to work tomorrow to put more fluid in.
